Healthy Mind
The year is almost halfway over, and most people gave up on their New Year's resolutions
MONTHS ago.
Why IS that? Dr. Phil says that because we think
that resolutions depend on having a strong will to make
a change, we fail. He says that it has nothing to do
with will power, and that when the excitement fades and
emotions falter, we get back into our comfort zone and
end up right where we started. That may be true. Who
knows?
If you have already given up on your resolution to
improve your health or other circumstances, you have
come to the right place. Maybe you weren't even looking
for it here, but we do have what you need
to change any behavior that you feel needs changing.
STOP what you are doing, take a
deep breath, and learn how you can become the
healthiest, most successful person you know. Learn how
you can become the person you have always admired. Learn
how you can accomplish anything you want, whether it's
being the number one sales person, changing your diet,
or quitting smoking.
Imagine being able to:
- Hit your ideal weight
and stay there forever without feeling miserable
- Exercise like a
maniac and LOVE it
- Be free of depression
no matter how severe or how long you've suffered
- Get organized
- Explode your personal
sales and fall in love with prospecting
- Get rid of your panic
attacks and stop obsessive
behaviors
- Live every single day with
passion and purpose no matter what
your age
- Have more money
than you could ever need.
- Quit bad habits for good - and
not miss them one little bit
- Become a goal achieving
machine
- Feel great about who you are,
happy to be you
Unfortunately, many of us spend a lot of money on
health products, only to watch our health and standard
of living spiral more out of control.
We also LOVE self-help books that do nothing to fix our
problem. Think Right Now!
I've always been aware of how to take care of my body (even
if I didn't) and what I should eat. I exercised, ate my fruits
and vegetables, avoided chemicals, and still felt horrible. As I
got older, things just got worse. I was less happy, more angry,
more stressed, more worried, and more tired. When I started
having gall bladder trouble, I really started looking into what
was going on and realized it was all in my mind. Literally.
Are we all just crazy?
It's not difficult to spot the obvious "crazies" in this
world, and I am one of those who sighs a great big, "I'm glad
that's not me..." when I come across people who seem a little
"off." But there are degrees of "healthy minds" and while I
wasn't walking around town making a spectacle of myself, I found
myself having frequent temper tantrums, yelling at my kids,
procrastinating, starting projects and not finishing them,
withdrawing from my friends, and sleeping more than usual.
Then one day I had a breakthrough and realized that life didn't
have to be so miserable! I was not crazy, but I was the victim
of my own negative thoughts and emotions which took over my
entire mind AND body.
When doctors tell a person that her problems are all in
her
head, they might just have something there. I will never forget
a visit to a doctor many years ago. I went in with complaints
such as neck, head, shoulder pain; fatigue, and general malaise.
It had gone on for a couple of months and I just couldn't
improve the way I felt. The doctor barely touched me, wrote a
prescription for Prozac, and sent me on my way. She didn't even
request a follow-up visit! (I threw away the script). Soon after
that, I quit my job for unrelated reasons, and almost instantly
my symptoms went away. While the doctor probably was on the
right track, she never said anything to me about what might be
causing my symptoms, what I could do about it, or what the Prozac
would do. Now I fully understand why so many people are on
anti-depressants.
Trash in the mind =
unhealthy body
The truth is that trash in our minds causes our bodies to get
sick. The healthiest people are those with healthy minds. They
don't see the bad in everything, they don't put themselves down
constantly, they don't hate other people, they don't hang on to
past negative experiences, they don't give in to addictions.
Wouldn't you like to be one of those people?! Me, too!!
At the age of 36, I feel like I am just now starting my life.
I have learned not to let the past control my future, or even
the present. What many of us don't get is that every time we
were told as a child that we weren't good enough, smart enough,
rich enough, athletic enough, pretty enough, cute enough, or
witty enough- you get the picture- marks were put upon our
being. We have taken those marks with us and they have only
grown deeper and uglier over time. Even Christians, like myself,
who read in the Bible that we are wonderfully made, are not
immune to the negative results from the slaughter of continuous
negative comments.
Did you know that most of your negative behavior comes down
to poor self-image?
Do you procrastinate? Are you unorganized? Do you know why? I've always thought
that my faults were "just the way I am" and did not realize that
it was behavior that could be changed. And if it could be
changed, then how?
One day recently I walked to my computer with the intention
of reading email. My last thought as I sat down was a
tear-filled, "how am I ever going to get xxx accomplished?"
"xxx" is a huge undertaking and I knew that somehow God would
make it work if it was meant to be. I opened up my first email,
and that is when my new life began. Not only did I get an
immediate answer to my question, I got answers to MANY
questions, all from one email.
I have never looked into self-help or personal development
material. I always thought that my only hope (if I needed it)
would be a psychiatrist, which I could not afford. But the day I
opened that email, I met Mike Brescia, with
Think Right Now!
International. As a matter of fact, let me be clear. I was not
searching for this material- I did not even now that I needed it
until I read further. It fell into my lap, like a gift from
God. Mike proceeded to tell me about a new product that I might
be interested in selling, for
digestive system help. Before I
finished his email, I was off at his website, learning about his
products, what they were intended for, and wondering if they
could help me?
The first contact I received from Mike
was November 16, 2007. Today is December 1, and I have
in my hand six programs of his, three of which I
initially received and three of which I quickly ordered
after the first two I tried worked so well. The first program
I listened to was Infinite Joy Now! and I can't
tell you how quickly the positive affirmations changed
my behavior. I felt a change after the first time I
listened to the CD's, which I did while I worked on
the computer. My attitude toward my kids was gentler, I
felt less stressed, and nothing had the false urgency
that I had felt before.
About a week later, I tried Eating
for Excellent Health Now! and had another amazing
transformation. I still laugh when I think about this
and how "easy" I am. I popped my CD into the computer,
with a Dr. Pepper sitting on my desk. I sipped it
periodically. (The Dr. Pepper was left over from my
McDonalds meal!) Before I knew what I was doing, I found
myself dumping the Dr. Pepper and filling up a glass of
water. Then, I got two pieces of fruit out of the
fridge- an apple and an orange- so that I could eat them
the next day. This is not a big deal unless you realize
that earlier that day I had a conversation with myself
about needing to eat more fruit. Because my teeth are in
bad shape and I can't eat things that are cold, it is
never convenient or fun munching on fruit. But
apparently, that doesn't matter anymore! (I did eat the
fruit the next day...)
What are these programs?
Basically, they are audio CD's that you
can listen to while you relax, or while you are working, that
re-affirm positive thoughts repeatedly. Honestly, when I
bought my first CD's I did not even know what I was
going to be getting. I did not care. I knew I needed
help, and saw Mike's money back guarantee, and I
figured, "what do I have to lose?" The result was aMAZing. No other words to describe it.
The positive affirmations work because they change your
mental patterns and replace negative thought patterns
with positive ones. You will learn to release negative
beliefs and attitudes, and install positive beliefs and
attitudes into YOUR mind.
This is not a how-to program. Your only
requirement is to listen to the CD you purchase as much
as possible. The rest just happens. And if it doesn't,
you have six months to get your money back!
Do you think these programs might help
you, too? If so, RUN, do not walk, to learn more about
them. You will learn about ALL of the
