Generally, people believe that once their baby is born healthy, their job is over. That is the only conclusion I can reach when examining the things people feed their babies and toddlers! We really just don't use a lot of common sense sometimes, and many parents ignore the obvious hazards in their own home. Again, it's thanks to the, "if it doesn't kill me on the spot, it must be safe," mentality that is much easier to grasp than changing the way we do things.

Admittedly, there are so many conflicting opinions out there, and you never know whom to trust. It doesn't help that doctors untrained in environmental issues and nutritional supplements are telling parents things that are just not true. (Like, "drinking tap water is perfectly safe.")
