Food Allergy Recipes
If your child (or baby) has been diagnosed with food allergies, allow
me to suggest a wonderful recipe book that might help you provide some
scrumptious treats you otherwise might not be able to make. The Whole Foods Allergy Cookbook by Cybele Pascal was written after
Cybele
developed
recipes for her breastfed allergic son, Lennon. Since she found little
help in "allergy" recipe books, she decided to share her knowledge with
other parents who struggle to find foods appropriate for their own
allergic babies and children. The book is loaded with two hundred
gourmet and homestyle recipes for families allergic to: dairy, wheat,
soy, egg, peanut, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish. It is the first
cookbook to eliminate all eight allergens responsible for 90% of food
allergies!
I have used a number of recipes from the book so far, and as an amateur cook, some of the
recipes seem intimidating. But many are easy to follow and make your
mouth water just reading them! We are not an allergic family, and we
bought the book because of the dedication Cybele makes to incorporate
whole foods into her recipes. That is very important to us. Cybele also
mentions eliminating refined cane sugar from the diet, which is
essential, especially for our children. We have recently worked on
replacing our sweeteners with alternatives like honey, molasses, and
maple syrup. If this is a goal of yours, you might want to check out Whole Foods Allergy Cookbook as well!
It has been many months since we first
started using The Whole Foods Allergy Cookbook, and we have never been
healthier. We definitely have learned that good health is a
multi-pronged process, and can't be achieved by one or two measures.
Everything that goes in, including air, water, food, and supplements
must be considered, and everything we do from exercise to hobbies will
effect our health. You can learn more about the many facets of good
health in our
healthy
living eBook, Not Just Another Pair of Sexy Genes.
